My Snowman Ornament

I have been wanting to try this for years and I am glad I did cause now I am hooked!!!  For my first ornament to paint I thought of a snowman... how easy could it be?  We will find out!  LOL!

I started with clear glass ornaments that I bought at the craft store.

I used acrylic paints for this.  I added a couple drops of water to make the ink more do-able.
I turned it over to let it drain out the excess paint and then I let it dry.

I found this cute little snowmans hat at the craft store, how could I pass this up!?

For the eyes and mouth, I used black acrylic paint and let it dry.

This is what he looks like with the hat on!  I will add some ribbon to the hat and of course my snowman will need a nose.  I will continue and post the final results later.

TOO BE CONTINUED.....

Low Carb diet

This is my low carb diet lunch.  Ham & Cream Cheese rolls with a salad.  I started this diet a couple weeks ago and lost 8 lbs already.  I have added a few carbs this week but not too much.  I did this diet years ago and I will say it does work but it is difficult the first 2 weeks.  I had a hard time staying away from starches but this time I am doing well.
I hope this diet will last because with the Holidays coming up, it is very hard to stay away from all those yummy desserts!

Halloween treat bag

This bag was made for the neighbors kids around the block. They turned out cute!
The paper used was paper pizzaz and a sticker from the craft store.
Ribbon is just a knot ribbon glued with a glue dot.
The oval window was cut out using Stampin' Up! coluzzle oval template.
To make the bag, I cut a 4x8 stip with the patterned paper. I scored at 1", 4" and 5" and folded the paper to form the bag. I cut the oval, stapled the bag of candy and add your embelishments! Very easy and fast to do. These would make great party favors for any event.

Halloween Spider Card

Here is a card I just did last night. I am really enjoying Halloween cards this year.
Paper used was from paper pizzaz and Heidi grace designs.
The spider was a sticker I purchased from the craft store. (forgot who it was sorry)

Birthday Memory Books

Here are a few pages I am doing for a birthday memory book for my neices and nephews wives that just recently had babies for Christmas gifts. I am doing a total of 5! YIKES!!! (3 boys and 2 girls)
I have a long way to go but I know I "WILL" get them done on time.
The paper I used here are from Close to my heart that I believe were called Building Blocks. I love the paper for this set! The colors are all earthy colors and my favorite. These albums will be 6x6 pages and I am using the Close to my heart "my creations board books".
Stay tuned for the finished project!

I am really loving felt projects! I made this as a try out and I love how they turned out. I will be making these into recipe holders as gifts to my relatives. They can also use them to hold coupons in their purses or even tea bags! I can't wait to try out my next project!!!

Here is a card I made last night. This is the classic Mickey mouse with a touch of red to pop out a bit. This brought back memories.

My Chicken Teryaki dinner

This is a dinner I made using Yakisoba noodles and left over chicken breasts from the bbq before. Turned out great! I added, celery, carrots and brocoli to give it color! It was fantastic!
